Over half of UK consumers would consider buying a tablet pc – such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab or Apple iPad
Of those preferring Samsung’s model, over one third (35%) said they would choose the Samsung Galaxy Tab because of its smaller size and greater portability, its increased functionality in the form of its additional capacity as a phone (29%), and the inclusion of Adobe Flash (27%). The Samgsung Galaxy Tab’s screen measure just 7 inches versus the iPad’s 9.7 inch screen and it is also around half the weight (380g vs. 680g). Of all of those questioned, over one in five (23%) said that phone functionality, and a camera were important elements to include in a tablet PC – all features that Apple’s iPad does not currently offer.

Escape from reality with video games
There are genuine bargains to be had when it comes to buying the latest PlayStation, Wii and Xbox titles. Spending time in the spare room at a console is a great way to escape from reality for a while. And it goes without saying that the latest releases are superbly detailed and exceedingly intricate.
The best video games of all are the ones which keep you occupied for hours at a time. It doesn’t matter if you prefer to shoot terrorists or perhaps build a virtual city of your own, the involvement can be all-consuming and amazingly addictive.

If ants were bigger, they’d rule the world
You can be forgiven for ignoring ants as they march about their business far below us. Most of the time they cause us very little trouble, unless we make the mistake of stepping in their anthill – and then we know all about it!
But stop and think about the humble ant. They’re fearsomely strong for their size, their society is perfectly ordered (no ant has an existential crisis or work-related stress), they’re tireless and can work together without argument to overcome huge obstacles…if they were a foot long, instead of a millimetre, surely humans wouldn’t be the dominant species? We’d be carried off like leaves by a long line of insect masters…
