Computing A Levels through home study

If you want to pursue a career in computing, you will need to have some kind of qualification in the field to show to prospective employers as proof of your skills. Many people find computing a levels to be a good starting point for any computing career, and home study is one way to gain this highly sought after qualification.

Getting your A Levels through distance learning means you can work as and when you please, so there’s no need to go to classes or give up your day job as you learn. With an A Level as your starting point, you can then take further courses to build up your skills.

There’s more to your cashmere jacket than meets the eye

Before it gets to sit across your shoulders, your Cashmere jacket has already come a long way. It started out across the shoulders of a cashmere goat, of course, as wool, before it was collected. Then the laborious process of separating the pure cashmere wool out took place, before it was spun, shipped and woven into clothes.

Cashmere originates in Kashmir, India, where the wool industry really got started in the 15th century. Nowadays you’ll find cashmere goats in Australia, America and New Zealand, but the largest producer is China. And all this international travel for that one small jacket…

Taking A Levels through home study

A friend of mine has just finished taking three A Levels through home study. He didn’t do too well at school – not because he wasn’t clever, but just because he didn’t really apply himself when he should have done. He’s always felt like he missed out, so last year he took the plunge and signed up to three distance learning A Level courses.

He took English, History and Maths, and, much to his delight, he passed all three with flying colours. He was much more motivated second time around, and diligently worked through all the exercises in turn. He actually really enjoyed it, and found it really satisfying when he finally got the qualifications he’d wanted to get for so long.

Gaining computer skills through home learning

So I’ve decided to brush up on my computer skills with a home learning course. I’ve looked into it online, and the one I’m thinking of going on has had a ton of positive reviews and looks to be just the thing to keep me up to speed with all the latest developments in my field.

It’s relatively cheap, and because it’s a home study course I can work through it at my own pace and take as long as I want to finish it. There’s plenty of backup and support for students too, so it’s not like I’ll be totally on my own while I’m studying.
