Keep some Sheer Cover concealer handy for those cosmetic woes

It happens to all of us. You’re going out to meet friends, or you have an important meeting, or worse still a job interview, and your body conspires to let you down. Spots, wrinkles, blemishes, dark rings under the eyes…and it’s always something you spot at the last minute.

That’s why it can be handy to keep a supply of something like Sheer Cover concealer around the house, to take care of cosmetic catastrophes and smooth over troubled brows. A few dabs with the mid-digit (it exerts less pressure and won’t make things worse), blend, and you can go on your way with no worries. It’s as important for the home as a first aid kit!

Gas and electricity prices go up again…

As I work from home, I have to constantly keep an eye on my gas and electricity usage. And this past year or so prices just seem to keep rising and rising…

It’s actually quite depressing. I can’t really cut back any further on my usage, as I’ve already cut back as much as I can, so there doesn’t seem to be a lot I can do about it. This long, cold winter (which we thankfully seem to be coming out of now at long last) really hasn’t helped matters any, either – my energy expenditure is way up on this time last year.

I have heard that you can switch electricity and gas suppliers to get better deals from other companies. I’ll have to seriously look into this, as it sounds very tempting at the moment…

I hate wasps!

I don’t think anybody really likes wasps. Like most people, I think, I don’t really mind bees as long as they stay away from me, but wasps I genuinely cannot stand. As Eddie Izzard once said – at least bees make honey. What do wasps do? Nothing. It’s not like they make chutney or anything.

So you can imagine how disappointed I was to find that there seems to a wasps’ bike in our roof. Or if there’s not, it’s certainly their favourite place to hang out at the moment for some reason. There’s always a ton of them buzzing about up there, which makes getting in and out of the house a bit of a trial. I think I call to the exterminator may soon be on the cards…
