Pest Control

Pest is a very common term which usually refers to different small insects which creates problem for most of the people. Pest can be seen in most of the places such as homes, restaurants, commercial buildings, in farms, in parks and gardens etc. In a developed city the places where pest control is needed are food chains, restaurants and hotels. Pest control is a must because they are dirty and disgusting as well. Pests can also restrict your relatives and friends from coming to your home.

There are three very basic steps of pest control in commercial areas. These very popular steps are Inspection, Sanitation and Exclusion. The first step is to inspect your building for pests. You have to look for such places where pests can occur such places are sinks, floor drain, kitchen cabinets, electrical boxes, wall voids, trash bins, electrical outlets, crevice etc. You have to look for all the dirty places and then make a list of all those dirty places in the building.

The second step which is just after inspection is the Sanitation. As we all know that prevention is better than the cure and we should clean our home or restaurant every day. Sanitation is a must if you don’t want the pests to breed in your building. A proper sanitation plan is a must and it should cover all the areas of the building. There are many suspected places where pests can be seen, so such places must be cleaned up regularly.

The third and last step is the exclusion. After inspecting the areas of pests and after cleaning all the areas now you have to make sure that the pests do not come in your home again. You have to keep your doors and windows close at the time when there is no one in the building and you can use different pest control sprays to kill the pests as soon as they come in your home.

New green packaging material created from brown wrapping paper

Green packaging innovator Geami has developed a new type of eco-friendly packaging material made from ordinary brown wrapping paper that can be used to replace plastic materials such as bubble wrap in packaging.

The completely biodegradable packaging and cushioning wrap is made from sustainably sourced Kraft paper. The paper is then die cut with thousands of slits, which allow the paper to be expanded into a kind of honeycomb web, forming a resilient and cost-effective protective cushioning and wrapping material that can be used in place of traditional oil-based plastic products.

The new material comes in ready-to-use rolls which can be used to wrap and protect a huge variety of items, protecting them from the bumps and scrapes that are inevitable in small package shipping.

Business Development Director of Geami Lynn Moe explained: “A growing number of consumers today prefer to do business with companies that not only offer natural products, but also have implemented sustainable business practices.

“On the flip side, businesses are challenged to find green packaging solutions that not only offer effective product protection, but that are economically feasible. Geami’s paper packaging solutions are designed with the needs of businesses, consumers and the environment as top priorities.”

I always trust padded mailers

Over the years, I have bought so many items on the Internet, especially fishing and golf accessories. I have never liked shopping in the high street, so any time I need something I invariably head for the worldwide web. I’m generally a satisfied customer, but if products arrive damaged, I get very cross.
If my purchases arrive in padded mailers, I automatically know they will be in perfect condition, because they always provide enough protection to ensure the package can withstand the punishment of being sent through the post. A company that uses them will invariably get repeat business from me.

Use a postal box every time

I run a little business from home, supplying small items of jewellery to purchasers through the post. It’s more of a sideline, really, but my commitment to my customers is total, just as it would be if I was running a multi-million pound corporation. That’s just the way I am; I can’t do anything by half measures.
I always use a good quality postal box because I want my items to arrive at the buyer’s front door in tip-top condition. Everything must be carefully packaged and simply has to meet the standards I would expect if I was the buyer.
